Minister Ghising inspects Chobhar-Galchi flood situation



KATHMANDU: Minister for Energy, Physical Infrastructure, Transport, and Urban Development Kulman Ghising on Saturday inspected the Chobhar-Galchi area to assess the flood situation.

He was accompanied by Urban Development Secretary Gopal Sigdel. According to the minister’s secretariat, the site was inspected as rivers flowing through Kathmandu Valley converge at the Galchi section.

Minister Ghising also visited the Dhobikhola, Manohara, Bishnumati, and Bagmati river corridors to observe nearby settlements and assess the risks.

He urged residents living along the riverbanks to remain on high alert and stay safe.
