KATHMANDU: Nepal registered a six-wicket victory over Malaysia in the second match of the five-game T20 International series, leveling the series 1–1.
Batting first at Bayumas Oval, Malaysia posted 91 runs for the loss of four wickets in their full quota of 20 overs. Opener Aina Hamizah top-scored with an unbeaten half-century, making 50 runs off 63 balls. For Nepal, Samjhana Bista picked up two wickets while Kabita Kunwar claimed one.
Chasing a target of 92, Nepal reached 93 for four in 16.2 overs. Puja Mahato anchored the innings with a composed 39 off 39 balls, while captain Indu Barma contributed a brisk 27 off 21 deliveries.
Nepal had lost the opening match by three runs on Thursday while chasing 105. With Saturday’s victory, the series stands evenly poised at 1–1.
