NEPSE dips by 6.55 points



KATHMANDU: The Nepal stock market slipped by 6.55 points on Thursday, with the NEPSE index closing at 2,719.77.

Before the weighted average calculation, the market was down by less than one point, but it fell by six points after the official tally.

Trading volume increased compared to the previous day, reaching Rs 5.14 billion, up from Rs 4.72 billion. Among listed companies, 85 saw their share prices rise, 165 declined, and one remained unchanged.

Sector-wise fluctuations stayed below 1 percent. Banking dropped 0.31 percent, development banks 0.38 percent, finance 0.37 percent, hotels and tourism 0.65 percent, investment 0.31 percent, life insurance 0.39 percent, microfinance 0.15 percent, production and processing 0.19 percent, non-life insurance 0.10 percent, and other sectors 0.50 percent.
