Nepal to block unregistered social media platforms



KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Communication and Information Technology has decided to block social media platforms, including Facebook, that have not been registered in Nepal as per the country’s laws.

The decision marks the implementation of a Supreme Court order and the Cabinet’s directive regarding the regulation of social media platforms in Nepal.
