Low-pressure system causing cloudy conditions nationwide

KATHMANDU: The weather across the country is expected to remain generally cloudy today, according to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology.

The monsoon low-pressure trough currently lies south of its average position, contributing to widespread cloud cover this afternoon.

The Department has forecast moderate rainfall in some hilly areas of Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, as well as light showers in one or two locations in the Terai region.

Additionally, there is a possibility of windstorms in parts of Madhes Province and the Terai region of Lumbini Province.

Authorities have warned that rising water levels in rivers and streams may disrupt transportation. The public is advised to stay alert and take necessary precautions.
