KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has released the official foreign exchange rates for today. According to the central bank, the buying rate for one US dollar is set at NPR 140.62, while the selling rate is NPR 141.22.
The euro is being traded at a buying rate of NPR 163.70 and a selling rate of NPR 164.39. Similarly, the UK pound sterling has a buying rate of NPR 188.40 and a selling rate of NPR 189.20. The Swiss franc stands at NPR 174.69 for buying and NPR 175.44 for selling.
The Australian dollar is being exchanged at NPR 91.83 for buying and NPR 92.22 for selling, while the Canadian dollar’s rates are NPR 101.91 (buying) and NPR 102.34 (selling).
The Singapore dollar is trading at NPR 109.10 and NPR 109.56, respectively. For 10 Japanese yen, the buying rate is NPR 9.46 and the selling rate is NPR 9.50. The Chinese yuan stands at NPR 19.68 for buying and NPR 19.76 for selling.
Similarly, the Saudi Arabian riyal is priced at NPR 37.48 (buying) and NPR 37.64 (selling), and the Qatari riyal at NPR 38.58 and NPR 38.74, respectively.
According to Nepal Rastra Bank, the Thai baht is being bought at NPR 4.35 and sold at NPR 4.36, while the UAE dirham is exchanged at NPR 38.28 (buying) and NPR 38.45 (selling). The Malaysian ringgit is being traded at NPR 32.26 for buying and NPR 33.41 for selling.
For 100 South Korean won, the buying rate is NPR 10.12 and the selling rate is NPR 10.16. Additionally, the buying rate for the Hong Kong dollar is NPR 18.02 and the selling rate is NPR 18.10.
The Kuwaiti dinar is being bought at NPR 449.57 and sold at NPR 461.53, the Bahraini dinar at NPR 372.99 (buying) and NPR 374.58 (selling), and the Omani rial at NPR 365.25 and NPR 366.81, respectively. The exchange rate for 100 Indian rupees has been fixed at NPR 160.00 for buying and NPR 160.15 for selling.
Nepal Rastra Bank has noted that these rates are subject to change at any time, depending on market conditions. Additionally, rates offered by commercial banks may vary slightly. Updated rates can be accessed on the official website of the central bank.
