Twelve new laboratory services launched at Parbat Provincial Hospital

PARBAT: Parbat Provincial Hospital, the district’s main health institution, has launched twelve new laboratory services simultaneously, significantly expanding its diagnostic capabilities.

With the introduction of these modern lab facilities, patients can now undergo a wide range of advanced diagnostic tests locally, reducing the need to travel to Pokhara or other urban centers for essential health services. Until now, the hospital’s limited testing capacity had forced many patients to seek services elsewhere.

Dr. Hemanta Bastola, Medical Superintendent of the hospital, said that the newly added services will bring considerable relief to residents of Parbat and surrounding areas.

The new laboratory tests include Vitamin D, Vitamin B-12, PSA, B-HCG, Anti-TPO, Iron Profile, ANA, Anti-dsDNA, Ferritin, CRP Quantitative, RA Quantitative, and Reticulocyte Count.

“These tests are crucial for identifying specific and complex health issues,” Dr. Bastola explained. “With this upgrade, people from Kushma and neighboring districts can now access advanced diagnostic services without having to travel to Kathmandu or Pokhara.”

The hospital believes this move will not only improve healthcare accessibility but also contribute to faster diagnoses and more effective treatment within the district.
