NRB releases Monday’s foreign currency exchange rates



KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank has released the foreign currency exchange rates for today (Monday).

According to the central bank, the buying rate for one US dollar is Rs 139.77, while the selling rate is Rs 140.37. The euro is being bought at Rs 161.93 and sold at Rs 162.63.

Similarly, the buying rate for one British pound sterling is Rs 185.61, and the selling rate is Rs 186.40. The Swiss franc is being traded at Rs 173.84 on the buying side and Rs 174.59 on the selling side.

The Australian dollar has a buying rate of Rs 90.53 and a selling rate of Rs 90.92. The Canadian dollar is being exchanged at Rs 101.37 for buying and Rs 101.81 for selling, while the Singapore dollar stands at Rs 108.46 for buying and Rs 108.92 for selling.

The buying rate for 10 Japanese yen is Rs 9.48, and the selling rate is Rs 9.52. One Chinese yuan is being traded at Rs 19.38 for buying and Rs 19.46 for selling. The Saudi Arabian riyal has a buying rate of Rs 37.26 and a selling rate of Rs 37.42, whereas the Qatari riyal is at Rs 38.24 and Rs 38.40, respectively.

Likewise, the Thai baht is being bought at Rs 4.30 and sold at Rs 4.32. The UAE dirham has a buying rate of Rs 38.05 and a selling rate of Rs 38.22. The Malaysian ringgit stands at Rs 32.68 for buying and Rs 32.82 for selling.

The rate for 100 South Korean won is Rs 10.06 on the buying side and Rs 10.11 on the selling side. The Swedish kronor is being traded at Rs 14.49 for buying and Rs 14.55 for selling, while the Danish krone is at Rs 21.70 and Rs 21.79, respectively.

In addition, the exchange rate for one Hong Kong dollar is set at Rs 17.81 for buying and Rs 17.88 for selling. The Kuwaiti dinar is being exchanged at Rs 457.36 for buying and Rs 459.33 for selling. The Bahraini dinar stands at Rs 370.74 for buying and Rs 372.41 for selling, while the Omani rial has a buying rate of Rs 363.02 and a selling rate of Rs 364.58.

The exchange rate for 100 Indian rupees is set at Rs 160.00 on the buying side and Rs 160.15 on the selling side.

Nepal Rastra Bank has noted that these rates are subject to change as needed. The exchange rates offered by commercial banks may vary, and the latest updates can be found on the central bank’s official website.
