SURKHET: Two sisters lost their lives after being struck by falling stones while sleeping in a hut at Tarpena, Kushe Rural Municipality-3 of Jajarkot district.

According to Ward Chairman Bir Bahadur Budha, 18-year-old Sharmila Budha and 14-year-old Chameli Budha were killed around 9:00 p.m. on Thursday.

The sisters, daughters of Nar Bahadur Budha, were sleeping in a temporary tent set up for earthquake victims. The tent had been built to shelter goats and serve as a temporary residence.
