Prime Minister Oli returning home today



KATHMANDU: Prime Minister (PM) KP Sharma Oli, who has been in Spain to attend the Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development, is returning to Nepal today.

According to PM’s secretariat, Prime Minister Oli is scheduled to arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport at 3:45 p.m. He had departed for Spain on Saturday, leading a Nepali delegation.

During his visit, Prime Minister Oli held a meeting with United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres. He also conducted bilateral talks with Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez, Estonian President Alar Karis, Egyptian Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Kamal Madbouly, and Portuguese Prime Minister Luiz Inácio Montenegrino.

Prime Minister Oli addressed the main session of the Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development and chaired a high-level meeting of the Least Developed Countries.

He also actively took part in various thematic discussions and side events focused on new approaches to development cooperation.

In addition to his official engagements, Prime Minister Oli visited the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, home to the world-renowned football club Real Madrid. He also visited the Nepali Embassy in Madrid and interacted with members of the Nepali diaspora.
