National Assembly meeting taking place today



KATHMANDU: A meeting of the National Assembly is taking place today. The meeting is scheduled to begin at 12:15 PM at the Federal Parliament building in New Baneshwor.

During the session, Kamala Panta, Chairperson of the Development, Economic Affairs and Good Governance Committee, is scheduled to present a proposal for deliberation on the “Report on the Need for Legal Provisions on the Rights and Development of the Dalit Community, 2081.”

Likewise, National Assembly Secretary Dr. Surendra Aryal will table messages received from the House of Representatives regarding the “Bill to Amend Some Nepal Acts, 2080” and the “Exchange Bill, 2080.”

In addition, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is expected to propose the consideration of the “Constitutional Council (Works, Duties, Powers and Procedures) (First Amendment) Bill, 2079,” as forwarded by the House of Representatives along with its message.
