Rabi Lamichhane: I will fight until my last drop of blood

KATHMANDU:  Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Chair Rabi Lamichhane has accused the police of forcefully entering his home to intimidate him while he was preparing to surrender.

Before his arrest on Friday evening, Lamichhane went live on Facebook, stating, “Even as I was ready to turn myself in, the police stormed into my house, creating fear. Right now, they are inside my bedroom.”

He urged his supporters to continue the Chitwan event as planned, adding, “This fight for justice will continue as long as I have a single drop of blood left. I have committed no crime, and I trust the people will stand with me.”

Shortly after his statement, police arrested him from his residence following an order from the Tulsipur High Court, Butwal Bench, which overturned the Rupandehi District Court’s decision to release him on bail.

According to RSP sources, both plainclothes and uniformed officers were deployed to his Budhanilkantha residence to execute the court’s order.
