Lalitpur tests electric buggies to boost tourism

LALITPUR: Lalitpur Metropolitan City has recently tested electric buggies (e-buggies) as part of an initiative to promote tourism in the city.

The e-buggies are being tested to transport both domestic and foreign tourists to various heritage sites, including monasteries and temples.

City Police Chief Sitaram Hachethu shared that the e-buggies are currently being tested in collaboration with Hotel Goodwill.

He further mentioned that after completing a month-long test, plans are in place to purchase four more e-buggies to enhance the transportation of tourists.

The new service will cover key tourist spots such as Pulchowk, Mangal Bazaar, Mahabihar, and Patan-Sundhara, with the goal of making these sites more accessible and promoting sustainable tourism in Lalitpur.
