Expert’s conclusion at Congress training: The party has deteriorated since 1990

KATHMANDU: Dr. Krishna Prasad Poudel, a member of the Nepali Congress Central Policy, Research, and Training Institute, has stated that the party has been deteriorating since 1990.

Speaking at the closed session of a two-day orientation program organized in Pokhara, Kaski, Poudel presented a paper highlighting how Congress has deteriorated over the years.

The orientation program, aimed at district presidents and deputy presidents responsible for training branches across all 77 districts, focused on organizational matters and contemporary issues.

In his presentation on ‘Economic and Social Development Under Congress Leadership,’ Poudel explained that politics in Nepal was once driven by sacrifice, integrity, ideals, and dedication. Between 1990 and 1994, the party remained committed to service, but after 1994, politics gradually turned into a profession and business.

He emphasized that the spirit of sacrifice, integrity, ideals, and service has gradually diminished in contemporary politics.

Before this session, Congress had also conducted orientation training for provincial presidents across all seven provinces on Monday.
