CIAA presents CAAN DG Pradip Adhikari in Special Court

KATHMANDU: The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) on Wednesday presented Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) Director General Pradip Adhikari before the Special Court in connection with alleged corruption worth around Rs 130 million in the construction of the helipad at Nalinchowk, Bhaktapur.

Alongside Adhikari, the case also names CAAN Director Murari Bhandari. The CIAA has filed a corruption case against both officials, as well as the contractor company and five other individuals involved in the project.

The Special Court will proceed with hearings related to the allegations, which involve irregularities in contract management and financial misappropriation during the helipad construction. CIAA officials confirmed that the investigation is ongoing, and further action will be taken based on the findings.
