Authorities urge caution on Kotree–Muglin–Nagdhunga and Muglin–Narayangadh roads

DUMRE: The District Administration Offices of Tanahun, Chitwan, and Dhading have issued a joint notice urging travelers to exercise caution while using the Kotree–Muglin–Nagdhunga and Muglin–Narayangadh sections of the Prithvi Highway.

According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, heavy rainfall is forecast between October 3 to 6. Officials warned that such conditions could increase the risk of accidents and road blockages along these stretches.

Chief District Officer of Tanahun, Ramkrishna Adhikari, said travelers have been requested to avoid non-essential journeys during this period, travel only during daytime hours if necessary, and refrain from nighttime travel. He further advised travelers to consult security agencies for updates before setting out.

The notice also called for restrictions on the movement of heavy freight vehicles during this period. Authorities cautioned that if rainfall intensifies or conditions worsen, road closures may be enforced for safety reasons.
