Country under influence of both monsoon and local winds



KATHMANDU: The current weather conditions across Nepal are being influenced by both monsoon and local wind systems.

According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division under the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, the weather will remain generally cloudy across the country today, with chances of moderate rainfall in some hilly and Terai areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces.

A few places in the hilly and Terai regions of Madhesh Province are also likely to experience moderate rain.

Additionally, heavy rainfall is expected at one or two locations in the hilly regions of Karnali and Bagmati provinces, as well as in the Terai region of Lumbini Province.

Tonight, the weather is expected to remain generally cloudy nationwide. Moderate rainfall is likely in the hilly regions of Koshi, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, in some areas of the Terai, and in parts of Madhesh and other provinces.

Given the forecast for heavy rainfall at one or two locations in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Lumbini, and Gandaki provinces, the public is urged to take necessary precautions against potential risks such as flooding and landslides.
