Swarnim Wagle to file complaint with cyber bureau over deepfake video



KATHMANDU: Dr. Swarnim Wagle, the vice chair of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), is set to visit the Nepal Police Cyber Bureau to file a complaint against a deepfake video posted on social media.

According to RSP spokesperson Manish Jha, Dr. Wagle will go to the Cyber Bureau with his complaint today.

“We have taken serious note of the deepfake video posted on social media that uses the voice of our vice chair, Dr. Swarnim Wagle,” Jha said. “He is on his way to the Cyber Bureau office to file a complaint against this act.”
