KATHMANDU: Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) and Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP), have boycotted the House of Representatives meeting.
They are demanding the formation of a judicial or parliamentary committee to investigate the visit visa scandal, which allegedly involves Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak.
When the House meeting began, both parties’ members stood up to protest. Speaker Devraj Ghimire then granted them time to speak.
Hari Dhakal of the RSP and Gyan Bahadur Shahi of the RPP expressed their parties’ unwavering stance on the issue. Dhakal highlighted their demand for an investigation into the visit visa scandal remains unchanged. Shahi, the chief whip for the RPP, stated that the continuous disregard for their demand has become a source of embarrassment for everyone.
After their statements, members from both parties walked out of the meeting hall, continuing their boycott.
