KATHMANDU: The Secretariat of the CPN (Unified Socialist) is set to meet today at 11 AM at the party’s central office in Aloknagar.
The meeting comes amid growing controversy over corruption allegations involving party chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal in the Patanjali land deal case.
The leadership is expected to deliberate on the party’s official stance regarding the scandal, ongoing political developments, and recent controversies surrounding the Civil Service Bill.
A key agenda also includes discussion on the clarification sought from party leader Ramkumari Jhakri, who recently criticized the leadership following the allegations against Nepal.
At a public event, Jhakri had called for an early general convention, saying she could no longer “carry a decaying corpse on her shoulders” — a remark widely interpreted as a direct attack on the current leadership.
In response, the party’s Central Disciplinary Commission has formally asked her to clarify her remarks, citing a breach of party discipline.
