NA passes condolence motion on the demise of former MP Ganesh Bahadur Khadka



KATHMANDU: The National Assembly has passed a condolence motion mourning the death of Constituent Assembly member and former Member of the House of Representatives, Ganesh Bahadur Khadka.

In today’s session of the Assembly, members expressed heartfelt tributes to the late Khadka and observed a minute of silence in his honor before passing the condolence motion.

Born on the August 3, 1942, Khadka passed away on the May 29 at the age of 82.

Khadka was elected to the House of Representatives in the general elections of 1991 and 1994 representing the Nepali Congress, and later as a Constituent Assembly member in 2008.

He also served as the Assistant Minister for Physical Planning, Construction, and Transport in 1995, and as the State Minister for Local Development in 2007.

The next meeting of the National Assembly is scheduled for 1:15 pm on Wednesday.
