Govt’s policies and programs reflect right direction for ensuring stability: PM Oli

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister (PM) and CPN-UML Parliamentary Party leader KP Sharma Oli has called on party lawmakers to firmly support the Government of Nepal’s policies and programs recently presented in the Federal Parliament, stating they reflect the right direction for ensuring stability, development, and good governance.

Addressing a meeting of the UML Parliamentary Party at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar on Saturday, Oli said the government is committed to promoting stability and accelerating economic growth through effective governance. “Our policies are correct, and comrades should have full confidence in them,” Oli stated.

“The opposition often criticizes for the sake of opposition, so there’s no need to be swayed by their rhetoric. We must stand firmly on what is right. When we were in opposition, we never opposed what was right.”

He further emphasized that the UML party is ideologically unified and clear in its purpose. “We have clarity and determination,” he said, “and I am confident that this will be demonstrated more strongly in our parliamentary actions.”

Oli also highlighted the government’s commitment to uplifting marginalized communities. He claimed that the policies and programs are socially responsible, committed to peace and order, constitutionally respectful toward the opposition, and accountable to the public.

He added that the government is focused on increasing access and opportunities for the deprived and is pursuing foreign policy rooted in national and human interests.
