Today’s foreign currency exchange rates



KATHMANDU: The Nepal Rastra Bank has announced the foreign exchange rates for today (Thursday), with most major currencies, including the US dollar, euro, pound sterling, Australian dollar, Kuwaiti dinar, and Bahraini dinar, witnessing an increase.

The US dollar, which had remained stable for the past four days, has risen slightly. Today, the buying rate for one US dollar is NPR 136.50, while the selling rate is NPR 137.10, compared to yesterday’s NPR 136.46 and NPR 137.06, respectively.

The highest recorded exchange rate for the US dollar in Nepal was on Magh 25, when it reached NPR 139.83 for buying and NPR 140.43 for selling.

Similarly, the euro’s exchange rate has increased, with today’s buying rate at NPR 147.41 and the selling rate at NPR 148.06, compared to NPR 147.21 and NPR 147.75 yesterday.

The pound sterling has also strengthened, with the buying rate reaching NPR 176.66 and the selling rate NPR 177.43, up from NPR 176.10 and NPR 176.88 the previous day.

The Australian dollar follows the trend, rising to NPR 86.08 for buying and NPR 86.46 for selling, compared to yesterday’s NPR 85.34 and NPR 85.61.

The Kuwaiti dinar’s exchange rate has slightly increased to NPR 442.69 for buying and NPR 444.64 for selling, while the Bahraini dinar stands at NPR 362.09 for buying and NPR 363.68 for selling, both marginally higher than the previous day.

These fluctuations reflect ongoing shifts in the foreign exchange market.
