Bheriganga Municipality ward chair passes away in India



SURKHET: Prem Bahadur Agri, the ward chair of Bheriganga Municipality-9 in Surkhet, has passed away.

He died at midnight on Sunday while undergoing treatment in Maharashtra, India. Agri, who had been battling cancer for the past year, was receiving medical care in India.

Yagya Prasad Dhakal, the mayor of Bheriganga Municipality, confirmed the news and stated that Agri had been struggling with kidney disease alongside cancer.

Efforts are currently underway to bring his body back to Nepal.

Agri, who was around 50 years old, was elected as the ward chairman from the Nepali Congress.
