Operator of illegal hospital arrested in Rautahat



RAUTAHAT: Police have arrested Rajan Sah, the operator of the Civil Human and Research Center, for running an unregistered hospital in Rautahat.

Sah was taken into custody on Monday morning, two days after Madhesh Province Chief Minister Satish Kumar Singh discovered that the hospital was operating without registration during an inspection.

Following the inspection, the hospital had been ordered to cease operations until it was properly registered, but Sah continued running the facility in defiance of the directive.

DSP Rajkumar Rai of the Area Police Office Chandranigahapur confirmed the arrest, stating that Sah was detained for violating the official notice.

During the inspection on Saturday, Chief Minister Singh examined 11 private hospitals in Chandranigahapur and found that 10 of them were unregistered.

Only Chandrapur Hospital Pvt. Ltd. had the necessary operating permit, according to Santosh Thakur, member secretary of the inspection committee.

Following the inspection, several hospitals and clinics, including Highway Trauma Hospital and Research Center Pvt. Ltd., Civil Human and Research Center, Public Life Care Polyclinic, Apollo City Hospital, Chapur City Hospital, Himalaya Polyclinic, Chandrapur Community Hospital, Namaste Dental Clinic, Chandrapur Orthopedic Hospital, and Chandrapur Eye and Dental Treatment Center, were ordered to shut down.
