KATHMANDU: Currently, no significant weather system is impacting the country.

As of Monday morning, the weather in the hilly and mountainous regions is generally clear, while mist and fog are prevalent in many parts of the Terai.

Mist and fog are particularly affecting areas in the Terai of the Madhes and Koshi provinces, but according to the Weather Forecasting Division, the weather is expected to gradually improve after noon.

Given that mist and fog may disrupt daily life, health, road, and air transport in the Terai region, the Division has urged the public to take necessary precautions.

In a bulletin issued at 6 am on Monday, the Division stated, “Mist and fog in many places in the Terai of Madhes and Koshi provinces will improve after noon, and the fog in some other Terai areas is also expected to clear by midday. As this may affect daily life, health, and transportation until noon, we advise taking appropriate precautions to minimize the impact.”
