Minister Lekhak instructs result-oriented activities

KATHMANDU: Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak has instructed Chief District Officers and Security Chiefs from across the country to focus on result-oriented activities despite limited resources.

During a virtual meeting with District Security Committees organized by the Home Ministry today, Minister Lekhak emphasized the importance of addressing challenges such as drug abuse, rising suicide rates, and road accidents.

He urged officials to carry out these tasks diligently, given the constraints.

“These three issues are interconnected. Coordination with provincial and local levels is essential to effectively address them,” he stated.

The Home Minister also called for a zero-tolerance policy on border crimes, poaching, and financial irregularities.

Minister Lekhak highlighted that the Ministry is working on legal, policy-level, and structural reforms.

“We bear a serious responsibility for maintaining peace and security. This is crucial for the sustainability of development, prosperity, and democracy,” he said.

Meanwhile, Home Secretary Gokarna Mani Duwadi stressed the need for complaint-free service delivery and emphasized the importance of effective disaster preparedness.
