Six committees of Federal Parliament to meet today

KATHMANDU: The Federal Parliament Secretariat has stated that six committee meetings will take place today at the office in Singha Durbar.

The Finance Committee will convene at 11:00 am to discuss the Bill to Amend and Consolidate the Customs Law, 2080, with relevant stakeholders.

Similarly, the International Relations and Tourism Committee will hold a meeting to discuss the relationship between Nepal Airlines Corporation’s flight management and service operations, along with the performance status of the Nepal Tourism Board.

Also at 11:00 am, the Agriculture, Cooperatives and Natural Resources Committee will meet to discuss the impact of climate change on Nepal.

The discussion will include Nepal’s efforts to mitigate its effects, the country’s participation in international forums such as COP-29, and the strengths and weaknesses of Nepal’s engagement, as well as preparations to ensure active and effective participation in future conferences.

Additionally, the State Affairs and Good Governance Committee will meet at 11:30 am to discuss the ongoing agenda concerning the bill related to the formation, operation, and service conditions of the Federal Civil Service.

The Education, Health, and Information Technology Committee will meet to discuss the Shaheed Dasharath Chand Health Sciences University Bill, 2080, while the Legislative Management Committee will discuss the Tilganga Netra University Bill, 2081, clause by clause.
