Four killed in Bajhang jeep accident



BAJHANG: Four people, including three from the same family, died in a jeep accident in Bajhang last night.

The incident occurred when a Bolero jeep (Se 1 Ja 843) crashed near Dhamena on Thursday night while traveling from Talkot Rural Municipality to the district headquarters in Chainpur, according to Yubaraj Bhandari, Chief of the District Police Office, Bajhang.

Bhandari confirmed that three people died at the scene, and one passed away while being transported to the hospital for treatment.

The victims were identified as Shamsher Malla, the jeep driver from Kedarsyu Rural Municipality-1 Rayal; Jaumatidevi Dhami from Talkot Rural Municipality-4; and her son, 36-year-old Bamma Bahadur Dhami. They died on the spot.

Dhami’s granddaughter, six-year-old Akriti Dhami, succumbed to her injuries on the way to the District Hospital in Bajhang.

Upon hearing about the accident, a team led by Police Inspector Lokendra Thagunna reached the scene to investigate.
