Indian pedestrian killed in Lainchaur car accident identified



KATHMANDU: Police have identified the pedestrian who died after being hit by a car in Lainchaur, Kathmandu, on Tuesday afternoon.

According to SP Naresh Raj Subedi, spokesperson for the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, the deceased has been confirmed as Sheikh Sakhir, a 34-year-old Indian national.

Sakhir had been living in Nepal for the past 10 years and worked in construction. He was residing in Dhobichaur, Kathmandu. He succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at the Trauma Center.

Police said the car hit two individuals before crashing into the wall of Keshar Mahal.
