KATHMANDU: Nepal has recorded a total of 8,109 dengue infections, with 56 new cases reported across the country in the past week, according to the Epidemiology and Disease Control Division (EDCD).
In the last 24 hours, six new infections were reported, and since January, six deaths have been recorded due to dengue.
Bagmati Province remains the most affected, with a total of 2,104 cases, including 18 new patients in the past week. Other provinces affected include Gandaki with 2,062 cases, Lumbini 1,327, Koshi 1,027, Sudurpaschim 859, Karnali 526, and Madhesh 204, according to EDCD data.
Authorities continue to urge the public to take preventive measures against mosquito breeding and seek medical attention promptly if symptoms appear.
