Nepal sees chill as Bay of Bengal low pressure makes its mark

KATHMANDU: A low-pressure system over the southwest Bay of Bengal and Tamil Nadu, India, is partially influencing Nepal’s weather today, bringing cloudy spells to some regions while most areas remain clear.

Koshi, Madhes, and Bagmati provinces are seeing the initial effects of this system, with mild temperature variations expected across the country.

Today, high hill and mountainous areas of Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces are expected to experience partly cloudy skies, while the rest of the country will remain mainly clear. Kathmandu Valley recorded a minimum temperature of 6°C this morning, with the maximum expected to range between 19°C and 21°C.

Meteorologists have advised the public to stay updated on weather developments, as changes in wind patterns and occasional rainfall may occur in the affected regions.
