Prime Minister Karki for ending the woes of Nepal Airlines Corporation



KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Sushila Karki has directed the Board of Directors and management officials of Nepal Airlines Corporation to be serious about ending the problems of the Corporation.

Directing the implementation of the suggestions received from experts at various times for the improvement of the NAC, the Prime Minister stressed that all concerned should work towards making the organization a source of pride.

Instructing management officials at her office here today, Prime Minister Karki emphasized that regular maintenance of the NAC’s aircraft, preventing financial irregularities, and maintaining good governance. She also directed them to work without succumbing to political pressure.

Acting Chair of the Board of Directors of the corporation, Bikram Rai, expressed his commitment to take visible reform steps  while Acting General Manager, Janakraj Kalakheti, informed that the corporation is in a accumulated loss of more than Rs 17 billion.

Finance Minister Rameshwor Khanal, Chief Secretary Eaknarayan Aryal and others were present on the occasion.
