Orthopedic and Neurology Specialist service resumes at Baitadi District Hospital

BAITADI: The District Hospital in Baitadi has resumed orthopedic and neurology specialist services. The services were reinstated with the arrival of Dr. Dipendra Bhandari as the orthopedic and neurology specialist at the hospital.

The service, which had been disrupted for a few months due to the absence of a specialist, has now resumed, informed Dr. Sushil BK, Chief of the District Hospital.

According to the hospital, surgical services will also be available. Treatments for back and waist pain, knee pain and swelling, pinched or weak nerves, and other related issues will be provided, said Harish Pant, Information Officer at the District Hospital.

Similarly, treatment for foot and leg burns, congenital limb deformities, bone problems following accidents or plaster removal, and all types of orthopedic and neurological conditions will be available at the hospital.

With the appointment of an orthopedic and neurology specialist, patients no longer need to travel elsewhere for general orthopedic and neurology-related problems, the hospital stated.

At present, the District Hospital has 10 doctors, including three specialists, providing services.
