Cleaning, decorations with red drapes, fabric replacement, and repainting works are being carried out at heritage sites including Kumari Ghar, Gaddi Baithak, Maju Dega, Dashavatar Temple, and Kasthamandap.

Similarly, preparations are being made for the masks of Lakhe Khwapa (crown), Ganesh, and Bhairav, as well as for the chariot of the living goddess Kumari, which will be taken out during the festival.

On the main day of Indra Jatra, the President, Prime Minister, and other high-level dignitaries are scheduled to attend the celebrations at the Basantapur Durbar Square area, continuing a long-standing tradition.
