NC’s Central Committee meeting to continue today as well



KATHMANDU: The Central Committee (CC) meeting of the ruling Nepali Congress (NC) is continuing today for the third consecutive day.

The meeting, which began on Monday under the leadership of Party President Sher Bahadur Deuba, has seen active participation from members. According to Krishna Prasad Poudel, Chief Secretary at the NC central office, 35 CC members have expressed their views on various agenda items so far.

On Tuesday, members including Ramesh Rijal, Uma Regmi, Ramesh Lekhak, Laxmi Pariyar, and Sita Kumari Rana discussed key issues such as the 100-day campaign report, the Central Policy, Research and Training Academy report, the Discipline Committee’s findings, and progress on the renewal of active memberships.

Deliberations also covered decisions of the Directorate Committee related to sister organizations, and the management and expansion of the Nepali Public Relations Committee.

Members further discussed the endorsement of Central Working Committee decisions, performance guidelines for elected representatives, and the party’s role and effectiveness in both parliament and government.

Invitee member Pushparaj Parajuli also spoke on the presented agenda, according to party sources.
