Missed immunization? Vaccines for children under 5 on May 14

KATHMANDU: The government is set to administer vaccines to children under the age of 5 who missed the recent immunization drive, on May 14.

Dr. Abhiyan Gautam, Head of the Child Health and Immunization Section at the Child Welfare Division under the Ministry of Health and Population, stated that nine types of vaccines will be provided to the children who were unable to receive them during the previous campaign.

Dr. Gautam also noted that 95 percent of children in this age group have already been fully vaccinated. The remaining five percent will be identified and vaccinated on May 14.

The Ministry has urged parents of children who missed the immunization drive to take them to the nearest health facilities to ensure they receive all the necessary vaccines.
