National Assembly meeting taking place today



KATHMANDU: The National Assembly meeting of the federal parliament is taking place today.

The meeting will be held at the Parliament building in New Baneshwor at 12:15 pm, as per the Parliament Secretariat.

The agenda for today’s meeting includes Speaker Narayan Prasad Dahal’s proposal to change the members of the thematic committees formed under the National Assembly.

Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Poudel is scheduled to present a proposal to the House for the consideration of the Banking Offences and Punishments (Second Amendment) Bill, 2080, which was received with a message from the House of Representatives.

Similarly, Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Ajay Kumar Chaurasia will also present a proposal to discuss the Nepal Legal Practitioners Council (Second Amendment) Bill, 2081, along with the report from the Legislative Management Committee.

Additionally, he is scheduled to propose the passing of the Nepal Legal Practitioners Council (Second Amendment) Bill, 2081.
