Mother killed, son injured in tipper accident in Tanahun

TANAHUN: A woman died, and her son was injured after a tipper hit their scooter in Shuklagandaki Municipality-7, Malebagar, Tanahun, on Sunday.

According to DSP Ashok Thapa, a tipper (Ga 1 K 5896) traveling from Khairenitar to Damauli collided with a scooter (Ga 18 Pa 7752), killing 41-year-old Apsara Chhetri of Pokhara Metropolitan City-32, Lekhnath.

Her son, Deepesh Kumar Chhetri, who was riding the scooter, sustained injuries and is undergoing treatment at the GP Koirala National Center for Respiratory Diseases.

The tipper also hit a car (Province 01-022 Cha 6778). The driver of the tipper fled the scene, and police have launched a search operation.
