PM Oli and former Sri Lankan President Wickremesinghe hold talks



KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and former President of Sri Lanka, Ranil Wickremesinghe, met today at the Prime Minister’s residence in Baluwatar.

The two leaders engaged in discussions on various issues of mutual interest, focusing on strengthening the bilateral relations between Nepal and Sri Lanka.

The meeting also saw the presence of Member of the House of Representatives and prominent industrialist Binod Chaudhary.

Wickremesinghe, a long-time friend of Prime Minister Oli, is in Nepal on a private visit and is scheduled to return to Sri Lanka today.

Wickremesinghe, who has served as the Prime Minister of Sri Lanka, arrived in Nepal on December 28, 2024, and his visit comes as part of his continued diplomatic and personal ties with Nepal.

The discussions are expected to further enhance the cooperation and friendship between the two nations.
