Bail hearing resumes in Suryadarshan cooperative fraud case

KATHMANDU: The bail hearing in the Suryadarshan Cooperative fraud case in Kaski District Court continues today.

The case is being argued by the complainant’s legal team, including Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Chai Rabi Lamichhane, before Judge Nitij Rai.

Yesterday, government attorneys Kamala Kafle, Shanti Devi Sharma, Bipin Raj Tiwari, Prakash Gautam, Sanjiv Raj Regmi, and Sujata Poudel presented their arguments.

According to the court’s registrar Rajan Khanal, once the complainant’s arguments are concluded today, the defense will present their case.

Following that, counter-arguments will be made by the attorneys from the High Government Attorney’s Office.

The case involves allegations of fraud related to the Suryadarshan Cooperative, and its proceedings are closely monitored by the public due to the high-profile nature of the case.
