Kathmandu Mayor Balen Shah’s father passes away while undergoing treatment at Civil Hospital



KATHMANDU: Kathmandu Metropolitan City Mayor Balen Shah is mourning the loss of his father, Ramnarayan Shah, who passed away on Monday at Civil Hospital, New Baneshwor.

Ramnarayan Shah was admitted to the hospital on Sunday for treatment. Hospital sources said he had developed a urinary infection that spread throughout his body. Despite being placed on a ventilator, he succumbed during treatment.

Earlier in the morning, Prime Minister Sushila Karki visited the hospital to inquire about Shah’s health condition.
