Maoist Secretariat meeting underway  to decide on party unification



KATHMANDU: A meeting of the Secretariat of the CPN (Maoist Centre)’s General Convention Organizing Committee has begun at the party’s central office in Paris Danda.

The meeting is being chaired by Committee Coordinator and Maoist Centre Chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’.

According to party sources, the unification process among the CPN (Maoist Centre), CPN (Unified Socialist), Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP) Nepal, and the rebel faction of Netra Bikram Chand (Biplav)-led CPN has reached its final stage.

Today’s meeting is expected to take a decision regarding the unification process.
