Gen-Z protest injury ID cards to be distributed in Baitadi



BAITADI: Preparations are underway to distribute ‘Gen-Z Protest Injury Identity Cards’ to those injured during the Gen-Z demonstrations in Baitadi district.

According to Chief District Officer (CDO) Punya Bikram Paudel, the Ministry of Home Affairs, through the Ministry of Health, has sent a list of six individuals from Baitadi who were injured during the protests held on September 8 and 9.

“We have received the list of those injured from the Ministry of Home Affairs via the Ministry of Health, and the District Administration Office has made it public for the purpose of distributing injury ID cards,” said CDO Paudel.

The six individuals from Baitadi identified as injured during the protests are: 19-year-old Deepak Saud, 30-year-old Manish Thagunna, 24-year-old Haris Bhul, 20-year-old Basu Pujara, 23-year-old Laxman Bhandari, and 25-year-old Harikrishna Bhatta.

Officials said the injury ID cards are being distributed nationwide to document and assist protesters injured during the Gen-Z movement, which erupted across several districts demanding political reform, accountability, and an end to corruption.
