Woman killed by lightning strike in Jhapa



JHAPA: A woman died after being struck by lightning in Jhapa today.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Khagendra Bahadur Khadka of the District Police Office, the victim has been identified as 35-year-old Dilkumari Rishidev of Biratmod Municipality-3.

She was struck by lightning around 11:00 am while she had gone to a field in Musahar settlement to collect goats.

Police said she was injured and rushed to Birtacity Hospital, but died on the way.
