Private school operators hold bus rally in Kathmandu against Education Bill

KATHMANDU: Private school operators staged a bus rally along the Ring Road in Kathmandu on Monday to protest provisions in the School Education Bill.

The rally was organized jointly by PABSON, N-PABSON, HISSAN, APEN, and NMA. A long line of private school buses could be seen occupying one lane of the Ring Road.

The operators are demanding the removal of the terms full scholarship and gradual non-profit conversion from the bill. They are pressuring the government to amend the legislation.

Earlier this month, the same organizations had staged a similar protest with school buses to express their opposition.
