NC leader Baniya requests CM Lama to resign

HETAUDA: Nepali Congress Bagmati Province parliamentary party leader Indra Bahadur Baniya has urged Chief Minister Bahadur Singh Lama Tamang to step down and clear the way for a new government.

Speaking to the media on Thursday morning, Baniya, who was recently elected as the party’s parliamentary leader, called on Lama to give up his stance and pave the way for change.

“He has already lost the confidence of the parliamentary party and should step aside on moral grounds,” Baniya said, while clarifying that he had no personal conflict with the chief minister.
