Four parliamentary committee meetings to be held today



KATHMANDU: Four different parliamentary committees under the Federal Parliament are scheduled to meet today. The committees meeting include the Agriculture, Cooperatives and Natural Resources Committee; the Education, Health and Information Technology Committee; the Legislative Management Committee; and the Federalism Strengthening and National Concerns Committee.

The Agriculture, Cooperatives and Natural Resources Committee will meet at 12:30 PM in its office to discuss the Bill to Amend Some Nepal Acts Relating to Land, 2082.

The discussion will involve representatives from relevant federal and provincial ministries, the Nepal Municipal Association, the National Federation of Rural Municipalities Nepal, and experts in land, forest, and legal matters.

The Education, Health and Information Technology Committee will meet at 2:30 PM to conduct a clause-wise discussion on the Media Council Bill, 2080. The meeting will be held in the committee’s office.

The Legislative Management Committee will convene at 1:00 PM to continue its clause-wise review of the Water Resources Bill, 2081. This meeting will also take place in the committee’s designated meeting room.

Meanwhile, the Federalism Strengthening and National Concerns Committee will meet at 11:00 AM to assess the implementation status of national pride projects under the Ministry of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation.

The committee will discuss ongoing challenges, efforts made to resolve them, and expectations from the committee moving forward.
