KATHMANDU: Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Badri Prasad Pandey has appointed Executive Director Subash Chandra Joshi as the Acting Member Secretary of the Pashupati Area Development Trust.
According to the minister’s secretariat, Minister Pandey, who also serves as the chairman of the fund’s board of directors, entrusted Joshi with the role following the suspension of the previous officeholder.
The position became vacant after the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) filed a case against former member secretary Dr. Milan Kumar Thapa and others in the Special Court, related to the procurement of an electric crematorium.
As per legal provisions, any official is automatically suspended once a case is filed in the Special Court.
