Police launch probe into JSP leader Dr. Bobby’s ‘pistol dance’

JANAKPURDHAM: Police in Saptari have launched an investigation into an incident involving Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) central committee member Dr. Bobby Singh Yadav, who was seen dancing with and firing a pistol at a wedding ceremony.

Dr. Boby, daughter of former minister and National Assembly member Mrigendra Singh Yadav, was filmed holding and discharging a pistol while dancing at a wedding in Bodebarsain, Saptari. The video has since gone viral on social media, drawing widespread attention.

In response to the controversy, Dr. Bobby claimed the weapon was a “toy pistol.” However, police are moving ahead to verify whether the firearm was real or fake.

The District Police Office, Saptari, has summoned Dr. Bobby for questioning. Saptari Police Chief SP Dhakendra Khatiwada stated that the authenticity of the pistol could not yet be confirmed.

“We cannot say for certain whether the pistol is fake,” SP Khatiwada said.

He further noted that both the alleged fake pistol and the video footage will be sent to the police headquarters for further investigation.
